  1.  Thank you for trying ParaDraft - Parametric Drafting System for AutoCAD

  3.   DEFAULT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  4.  
  5.      If you are installing ParaDraft Trial Version V 1.01S
  6.  
  7.                  (i)  from ParaDraft diskette in the drive A
  8.         and,   (ii)  have AutoCAD Release 10 or higher, 
  9.  
  10.      just change directory to where you want ParaDraft to be installed,
  11.      and enter at the DOS prompt:
  12.  
  13.                 A:INSTALL
  14.  
  15.      to start installation of ParaDraft Trial Version.
  16.  
  17.      For other requirements, for example:
  18.  
  19.              (i)  If you have versions older than AutoCAD Release 10,
  20.            (ii)  ParaDraft diskette is in drive B,
  21.      or,   (iii) You have only the ZIP files
  22.  
  23.      etc., please read the complete installation  procedure  given  on the
  24.      next page.

  26.      Note :
  27.      1. You do not have to create a subdirectory yourself. ParaDraft 
  28.      installation program creates its own subdirectory of the current
  29.      directory in the above process, called PGDRAFT.
  30.  
  31.      2. If you are installing from 3.5" diskette, ignore the prompt
  32.      for inserting the second diskette, since the same diskette
  33.      contains all the files.
  34.  
  35.      3. ParaDraft requires PKUNZIP program to uncompress files from the
  36.      ZIP file on your diskette.
  37.  
  38.      The installation program assumes that you have PKUNZIP installed on 
  39.      this PC such that PKUNZIP can be run from the current directory.

  51.      PKUNZIP is part of the shareware PKZIP file compression
  52.      package, distributed by PKWare, 7545 North Port Washington Road,
  53.      Suite 205, Glendale, WI 53217.

  55.      Shareware copies of the full PKZIP package are available on many 
  56.      bulletin boards and on-line services, and with shareware vendors.

  60.   ParaDraft Trial Version Diskette Installation
  61.  
  62.       To install ParaDraft Trial Version you should change directory to 
  63.       the one where you want to install ParaDraft. Insert the floppy
  64.       disk, containing ParaDraft archival files (PGPG0991 and PGRUN991 ZIP
  65.       files and the installation program, in the [D] drive. Enter the
  66.       following  command to start the installation program:
  67.  
  68.             C>   D:INSTALL REL10 D
  69.                  or
  70.             C>   D:INSTALL OLD D
  71.  
  72.       Select the first parameter, depending on the version of AutoCAD that
  73.       you have on the PC. Give REL10 if you have AutoCAD Release 10.
  74.       Otherwise enter OLD as the parameter.
  75.  
  76.       The installation program assumes that the ParaDraft files are to be
  77.       read from the floppy drive A: and are to be installed in the current
  78.       directory. ParaDraft files are stored in a subdirectory called
  79.       PGDRAFT of the directory from where you ran the installation program.
  80.       For example, if you run this program from the C:\ACAD directory, the
  81.       files would be in C:\ACAD\PGDRAFT, and all references to ParaDraft
  82.       directory refer to this directory. PGRUN would also be installed
  83.       along with other ParaDraft components.

  85.   ParaDraft Trial Version Installation from ZIP files
  86.  
  87.       If you have obtained this version from on-line services, you may 
  88.       have only the ZIP files. In such a case follow these simple steps 
  89.       to install ParaDraft Trial Version :
  90.  
  91.       1. Change directory to the one where you want to install ParaDraft,
  92.       (preferably create a new subdirectory) and copy the ZIP files
  93.       containing ParaDraft files (PGPG0991.ZIP and PGRUN991.ZIP) in it.
  94.  
  95.       2. Extract the installation program INSTALL.BAT from PGDRAFT.ZIP 
  96.       using command
  97.  
  98.                C> PKUNZIP -x PGPG0991 INSTALL.BAT
  99.  
  100.       3. Enter the following command to run the installation program:
  101.  
  102.             C>   INSTALL REL10 
  103.                  or
  104.             C>   INSTALL OLD
  105.  
  106.       to perform the installation. Select the 1st parameter, depending on 
  107.       the version of AutoCAD that you have on the PC. Give REL10 if you have
  108.       AutoCAD Release 10 or later. Otherwise enter OLD as the parameter.
  109.  
  110.       ParaDraft files are stored in the current directory from where you
  111.       ran the installation program, and all references to ParaDraft
  112.       directory refer to this directory. PGRUN would also be installed
  113.       along with other ParaDraft components.
